Monday 2 September 2013 Old City and Spafford Children's Center

From the roof of the Spafford Children's Center looking at the Garden Tomb.  It was from this roof that the Major-General Charles George Gordon, sitting with Mr. Spafford, observed what appears to be a skull on the side of the hill, and concluded this could be the site of Jesus crucifixion and burial.
Looking toward Mt. Scopus and the Jerusalem Center from the roof of the Spafford Children's Center. Linda is with Dr. Jantien Dajani, the previous director.

A stairway at the Spafford Children's Center just inside the Old City between Herod and Damascus Gates.

A portion of the Roman Road in the Old City.  It is below the level of the current city.  Newer cities were built on top of the rubble of older cities, so this road had to be excavated.
