Saturday 10 January 2015 Jerusalem and Bethlehem

We woke up to the snow storm they had been predicting.  It doesn't happen often, so it's a real treat when it does.  Last year we had an unusual storm that lasted 3 days.  This one was small in comparison but still beautiful.  This is the patio of our apartment.

This is our view with a dusting of snow on the city.

And a little closer view.  After church we had Tamara (a Hebrew University student) and Carmen, Ilia, and Adam Lesonby over for dinner.

We went home teaching to the Marcos family before church in Bethlehem.  Nadeem had learned a part for a Christmas program and wanted us to hear it.

All the kids wanted their pictures taken.  Ameer, Nadeem, and Yara Marcos live upstairs in the apartment building the church is in.

  1. That looks like something we all experienced last year. Was it as deep and bad? Did it shut down the city for three days?
