Thursday 19 February 2015 Tannour grocery shopping and Smiths' arrival

I stopped to grocery shop at Tannaurs in Wadi Al Joz.  We affectionately call the store, Wadi Joz.  It's a Palestinian grocery store that is just down the hill from the Jerusalem Center.  They had a larger store across the street when we first came but closed it about 6 months ago.  Both stores had been open at the same time. Now just the smaller and older store is open.  I assume it was to save money.  They have a good bakery with fresh pita, and all the basics.  They don't have a meat department and the produce is in a separate store across the street.  It is a very compact store. We picked up our replacements from the airport tonight. Jeff and Joyce Smith are from Park City, Utah.  A major snowstorm was forecasted so we hurried back to the center before Highway #1 closed.
