Sunday December 15, 2013 Walking to Mea Shearim, Mahane Yehuda, Old City

We walked into the ultra-orthodox Jewish section called Mea Sharim, then to the open market called Mahane Yuda, then down Yaffo Street to the Old City.

The wet snow broke tree branches throughout the city.  This is near the Jerusalem Center lower gate.

A show store in Mea Sharim - do you see anything but black shoes?

Mahane Yuda after a snow storm.  Perhaps 10%  of the stores were open.

Yaffo Street is a pedestrian and train road from the Old City to Mahane Yuda market.

Santa Claus is hanging on for dear life on the side of the tree inside New Gate in the Christian Quarter.
