3 & 4 September 2014 Student arrival and tours

Sept. 3, 2014 the fall/winter semester of students arrived at the center.  There are only 60 students which is the smallest group they've had except for the semester after it reopened in 2006.  There are 18 boys and 42 girls.  It's going to be like girls' camp.  Each group come for 15 weeks, take religion, language, culture and history classes and have field trips once a week, as well as trips to Galilee, Turkey and Jordan..

The director of the center is Eran Hayett.  He's a local Jewish fellow and does a fabulous job keeping Palestinians, Jews, and Americans all happy and working together.  He describes the center as one big family.  Sometimes they fight and don't get along but they work it out and keep going.

Here I am giving a tour in the seminar room. Each group starts out here with a short video about the JC, moves into the auditorium for an organ recital of 3 numbers, and then goes outside for the view and a description of the grounds.

  1. We are missing all that great excitement of meeting a new group. That is an impressive tour group you have also. It seems like things have picked back up. That was a great picture of Eran. Please share our love with everyone. We miss you all terribly.
