Sunday 1 June 2014 Bet Guvrin with Lee and Joan

My brother Lee, his wife Joan, and 2 of their children, Jason and Jillian came to visit on June 1.  Their first day here we took them to the Bell Caves which are limestone caves that were quarried from the top.  Thus the caves are in the shapes of bells.  It is located southwest of Jerusalem in Bet Guvrin.  Joan's choral group sang there 4 years ago.  It has acoustics that echo clearly.

We stopped at a Roman amphitheater that was on the side of the road going to the Bell Caves.  Only in Jerusalem or a city that old can you do that. Jason, Jillian, Linda, Joan, and Lee.

This the valley, Elah, where David fought Goliath with a sling shot.  It is in the Shephalah region.

We pretended a tree near by was Goliath and took aim at it.  Jason was especially accurate with his sling shot.
