Monday 20 October 2014 Friends of Fahmi, Shulamit Near, A-Tur Graduation

We went with Namati and Enas Ansari to pass out hygiene kits at the Fahmi Family Library.  This is Mr. Ansari,  Enas's dad.  He has many one-of-a-kind magazines in his collection.

Four students helped distribute kits with Namati Ansari, in the middle, and 2 society members to the left.

This is the Great Synagogue in West Jerusalem.  It's an orthodox synagogue which Blaine and I  have attended a few times on Sabbath so we haven't been able to take pictures.

This cable car took supplies to Jews in the Old City each night during the War of 1948.

Shulamit Near gave a lecture in the evening. She painted the Old City from the Jerusalem Center.

During the art lecture in seminar room #1, a school program was in the auditorium. The Jerusalem Center tries to be a good neighbor by offering the facility to the local school in the A-tur neighborhood .

  1. We ordered that same print but in a much smaller size, like the one in Neomi's office. I just took it in to be framed yesterday. We are excited to have that view again on our walls here at home.
