Sunday 30 March 2014 Jericho delivery of kits

We delivered school kits to Jericho with Namati Ansari from Fahmi Library Association.

Computer room.  They were very proud of this room.

A group of boys were ready and anxious to help carry in the boxes.  It was a race for them to see how many they could carry and it got them out of class for a few minutes.

The principal, Inas Ansari, Blaine and Linda, Namati Ansari, and her two sisters are the adults.  One of Namati's sisters works at the school and the other lives in Jericho and just came to visit.

They love to have their pictures taken.  When the camera comes out, everyone gathers around.

We gave out hygiene kits in the principal's office.

The school was a gift from Jordan and is fairly new, within 10 years. They are very proud of it.

Many schools have pictures of Yasir Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas.  Many people loved Yasir Arafat.

The principal with picture of Abbas and Arafat.  None of them like to smile.

The Nimati sisters tell me good bye.

The schools are divided into girls' and boys' schools.  They wear uniforms and many ride bikes.

Hand washing fountain donated in a family member's honor.  Children learn to wash their hands and brush their teeth at school.  Some schools require students to have a tooth brush in their desk.
